Some thoughts on Auto Irrigation System

I have some ideas. I will have my summer holiday in about a month, and it will last for around two months. I have several plants at my workplace, but it's inconvenient for me to take them back to my rental apartment. So, I need to solve this problem before the holiday starts. What should I do? Maybe I could design or buy an automatic irrigation system?

Let’s break down the problem I will face in a month. The plants I grow need water and light. I don’t have to worry about light because I’ve already been using a time-controlled grow light for a while. However, without me being present to water the plants regularly, the soil will probably dry out completely after about two weeks in summer, and the plants will slowly wither and die.
